Lego Serious Play
“Leadership is about communicating people’s worth and potential so clearly that they are inspired to see it in themselves”.
We value the importance of students acquiring transferrable skills through their education. Skills include creativity, analytical skills, teamwork, collaboration, communication, and innovation. Our 20+ Leadership Teams that act as enrichment vehicles for students, allowing them to lead and excel beyond the classroom.
HHCS is thrilled to offer Lego Serious Play as part of the classroom learning environment. We use this amazing tool as it focuses on the development of oral language skills and used as a tool to develop creative problem solving, multi-faceted and fun learning.
Much authentic and relevant learning takes place outside of a school building. Our Exploratory program for our grades 7 and 8 students is one way that Halton Hills Christian School is pushing out the boundaries of our school and connecting our students to the community.
We want our intermediate students to be equipped with life and career skills, learning and innovation skills, and technology skills beyond the basic skills taught in core subjects. This program offers an opportunity for students to gain a little “job” experience through a short term placement in a local business or organization for 6 weeks.
Community Service
Every year, every grade participates in different ways to help out and give back to our community. This is important as it connects faith and learning and provides opportunities for our students to use their skills and talents in a way that blesses others within our school, our community and even our world. Service projects create a context for student learning and give opportunity to learn new things.
